Radiological Protection Clerk and Document Clerk
Ready to play a hands-on role in keeping a site safe, compliant, and running smoothly? Looking for a structured four-day working week where your organisation and attention to detail really matter?
You will join the EHSSQ team at Oldbury, supporting two essential areas, radiological protection and document control. This is a role where your work directly underpins safety, compliance, and operational standards across the site. From managing dosimetry processes to ensuring critical documents are accurate and accessible, you will help keep everything aligned with regulatory requirements.
Your time will be split across both functions with two days a week supporting radiological protection and two days a week supporting document control, giving you variety and the chance to build technical knowledge while strengthening your administrative expertise. You’ll work closely with teams across the site, becoming a reliable point of contact and helping others navigate systems, processes, and requirements with confidence.
What will you be doing
You will take ownership of dosimetry administration, ensuring records are accurate, up to date, and fully compliant with Ionising Radiation Regulations. Your work will support safe working practices across the site, from issuing and tracking dosimetry to producing clear, useful reports that inform decision-making.
Alongside this, you will manage document control processes that keep the site organised and audit-ready. You’ll help maintain high standards across the management system, spotting issues, improving quality, and supporting colleagues to use systems correctly and efficiently.
- Maintain dosimetry systems, records, and reporting to support regulatory compliance
- Manage document control processes, including filing, retrieval, and quality checks
- Act as a key contact for site-wide information, supporting staff and visitors
- Provide guidance and coaching on document systems and processes
Who are we looking for
You bring solid administrative experience and a highly organised approach. You’re comfortable managing multiple priorities, working accurately with data, and keeping systems running smoothly. Clear communication comes naturally, and you build effective working relationships across teams. You take pride in detail and are confident stepping in to identify and resolve issues.
Experience in a technical, engineering, quality, or health and safety environment will help you settle in quickly, though it’s not essential. An understanding of radiological regulations would be useful, but more important is your willingness to learn and adapt. You are proactive, dependable, and focused on delivering work that supports safety and compliance.
- Strong administrative background with confident system use
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to communicate clearly and support a wide range of stakeholders
- Interest in technical environments and continuous learning
