You will join a team focused on delivering safe, efficient and technically demanding work that matters.

This is a site-based role at Sizewell A with a Monday to Thursday working pattern from 07.25 to 17.00, ideal if you prefer a four-day working week and the chance to work closely with specialists who take pride in doing things well.

What will you be doing

You will lead the delivery of high-profile decommissioning projects, providing clarity, structure and direction across a portfolio that demands strong coordination and confident decision making. Your role will involve guiding a multi-disciplinary team, maintaining safety as a priority and ensuring all work meets regulatory, commercial and organisational expectations.

You will shape each project from planning through to execution, driving performance and keeping risks and change under control. This is the chance to take ownership, influence outcomes and see the direct impact of your leadership on the success of the site.

Your work will include:

• Leading the safe, on time and on budget delivery of projects while maintaining strong governance, planning and performance control.
• Managing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and securing the right resources and specialist support.
• Providing clear safety leadership, including authorising and conducting safety reviews in radiologically controlled areas up to R4 C3 level.

Who are we looking for

You will be someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys solving complex problems and is comfortable guiding teams through technical and regulated work. If you are driven by purpose, collaboration and the chance to contribute to nationally important outcomes, you will fit well into this environment.

You will bring experience from engineering, construction, procurement or another structured, technical field, supported by strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships. An HNC D or equivalent in a relevant discipline is needed, along with APM Practitioner level project capability or a commitment to achieve this within a year. You will need to demonstrate clear ownership of work, adaptable thinking and confidence managing demanding project requirements.

You will also need:

• Experience delivering projects in regulated or technically complex environments.
• A proactive, solutions focused approach with the ability to work across a matrixed organisation.
• The drive to uphold standards, maintain performance and contribute positively to a team committed to excellence.
