Project Engineer
Are you excited by solving complex engineering challenges and delivering work where precision, safety and purpose truly matter? Do you want to be part of a highly skilled, multidisciplinary delivery team that plays a critical role in safely delivering construction, de‑planting and upgrade solutions in a regulated environment?
This is your opportunity to join a motivated Asset Care and FM delivery team working across multi-discipline requirements. You’ll contribute to the delivery of fit‑for‑purpose engineering solutions that underpin a demanding portfolio of work, bringing energy, structure and focus to challenging schedules while helping to further strengthen the capability of an already high‑performing team.
What will you be doing
You’ll play a key role in translating project objectives and stakeholder needs into practical, robust solutions. From early concept design through to handover, you’ll manage and coordinate engineering activities to ensure solutions are safe, compliant and deliverable, aligned with design authority standards and regulatory requirements.
Working across the full project lifecycle, you’ll take accountability for design development, technical assurance and configuration control, while providing engineering leadership during commissioning, decommissioning or modification activities. You’ll also actively contribute to learning and continuous improvement by reviewing events and embedding best practice across the team.
- Developing fit‑for‑purpose engineering solutions, preparing scope documents and technical specifications that meet Asset care and FM delivery and stakeholder requirements.
- Managing design activities and plant modifications in line with CDM regulations and acting as a Nominated Responsible Engineer where required.
- Providing oversight during commissioning and decommissioning, ensuring safe implementation and effective handover to operations.
- Maintaining configuration control and promoting learning through review of events and continuous improvement initiatives.

To succeed, you’ll hold an HNC, engineering degree or NQF Level 5/6 qualification and have experience delivering project engineering work in nuclear and/or conventional environments. A solid understanding of relevant engineering standards is essential, along with the confidence to engage with multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
